Integrating Simplr's Cartridge in Salesforce Commerce Cloud

1. Import metadata

    a. Create a zip file of the metadata folder

    b. From the Salesforce Business Manager, navigate to Administration > Site Import & Export

    c. Click Choose File and select metadata.zip. Then click Upload

    d. Select metadata.zip by clicking the circle next to its name and then click Import

2. Setting up cartridges in site path

    a. From the Salesforce Business Manager, navigate to Administration > Manage Sites

 

b. Click on your storefront site name. In this example, we will use "RefArch"

    c. In the Settings tab, paste int_simplr: (including the colon) in front of the path textbox next to Cartridges if you are using an SFRA site.

If you are using a Site Genesis site, paste int_simplr_controllers:int_simplr: (including the colons) instead. Then click Apply

    d. Navigate back to Administration > Manage Sites and click Business Manager

 

    e. In the Settings tab, paste bm_simplr: (including the colon) in front of the path textbox next to Cartridges. Then click Apply

 

3. Activating the Simplr BM module 


    a. Navigate to Administration > Roles & Permissions

 

    b. Click on Administrator

 

    c. Select your site name and click Apply

 

    d. Scroll down until you see Simplr's section, and click the checkbox on the right that is associated with Simplr. Then click Update


4. Configuration 


    a. Navigate to Merchant Tools > Manage Configurations


    b. Select Yes in the dropdown under Enable Simplr service and then enter a value under Simplr Api Key that is to be used as the Api Key (like a "password") for Simplr – and please share it with your contact at Simplr. Then click Save at the bottom left side of the page.
